Wind Expo

Since 2009, FibreMax has been the producer of lightweight synthetic tendons using its one-of-a-kind patented endless-winding production process. These tendons are made with the strongest and most durable fibres, such as Dyneema (HMPE) and Twaron (aramid).

The current market centres around off- and onshore cranes, but the most significant growth in the coming years is expected to occur within the floating wind market. FibreMax has the synthetic solution: mooring cables that are 85% lighter than steel and last 30+ years.

One of the emerging countries in this market is Japan. At the Wind Expo Tokyo last month, FibreMax signed an exclusive sales representation agreement with Tokyo Equipment Company, which represents a significant step in FibreMax's internationalisation.

The CEO of FibreMax, Duco Handgraaf, stated: "We see a great future for our company in the floating wind market. The substantial expansion of our production facilities, workforce, and foreign representation will be a key factor for success. We are ready!"

Also, the Director of Renewable Energy, Sander van Helvoort, sees excellent opportunities in this exclusive agreement: "FibreMax is excited to appoint Tokyo Equipment Company as representatives for the Japanese market.

We see a huge opportunity in the Japanese market to support and accelerate the renewable industry with our unique and patented solutions."
